Bases for applying for a work/residence permit in Montenegro:

Starting Your Own Company

Do you want to open your own company? Do you have an idea for the company’s name and the activity it will perform? We handle everything else. We prepare all the necessary documentation for registering your company and submit the application to the Central Register in Podgorica. Additionally, with your notary-certified power of attorney, we obtain the registration certificate and create your company’s stamp. Once your company is officially registered, we assist you in applying for a work permit in Montenegro.

Employment

Find an employer in Montenegro or register a company in your own name to obtain a residence permit as the director of the company. We will register the company for you independently; all we need from you is a power of attorney. During a detailed consultation, we help you choose the most suitable business activity for the company and get to work. An important detail — our prices include absolutely all costs. Once the company is registered, we gather all the necessary documents for the residence permit application and assist you throughout the submission process. Additionally, the company director is required to have their diploma nostrified. We provide this service; all we need from you is your diploma.

To submit your documents for the residence permit, you only need a certificate of no criminal record and a notarized rental agreement. We will prepare all other documents on your behalf.

Stay Based on Property Ownership

To apply based on property ownership in Montenegro, you must own or co-own at least 1/3 of a property. We collect all the necessary documentation, including a property ownership certificate from the cadaster, with your consent.

Stay Based on Family Reunification

Once you obtain your work/residence permit, you have the right to apply for a residence permit for your family members based on family reunification. The key document you need to provide is a marriage or birth certificate, depending on whether the application is for a spouse or a child.

Stay for Digital Nomads

Are you employed by a foreign company but wish to work online while staying in Montenegro? We can assist you with this. You need to provide the following documents:

  • proof of the company’s registration where you are employed,
  • an employment contract confirming that you will perform your work online in Montenegro for the next two years, with a minimum monthly salary of €1,350,
  • proof of income over the past 12 months amounting to at least €16,200,
  • proof of health insurance in the country where your employer is registered.

Stay Based on Education

You can also apply for a residence permit in Montenegro based on your education. For this, you need to provide a confirmation in a Montenegrin educational institution.

To apply for a work/residence permit , you must provide proof that you have no criminal record or ongoing criminal or misdemeanor proceedings in the country of your citizenship.
